With over three decades of extensive experience in infrastructure finance across Canada, the United States, and Southeast Asia, Paul Huebener is a seasoned professional with a diverse skill set. His expertise encompasses mergers, acquisitions, debt and equity financings, with a proven track record of successful transactions spanning various sectors, including renewables, conventional power generation, utilities, transportation, and digital infrastructure.
In his most recent role as Partner and Head of Americas at DIF Capital Partners, Mr. Huebener played a pivotal role in founding DIF's North American business, overseeing the investment of over US$1 billion in equity across numerous infrastructure transactions in the region. Prior to this role, he served as Managing Director in the Power and Utilities Group at Macquarie Capital Markets Ltd., contributing to the strategic direction of the team in Toronto and Kuala Lumpur.
Mr. Huebener's distinguished career also includes notable positions at Fieldstone Private Capital Group in New York and Malaysia, as well as Bankers Trust Company in New York. His early professional background as an engineer with The Marley Cooling Tower Company and Union Electric Company (now Ameren) further enriches his multifaceted industry perspective.
Educationally, Mr. Huebener holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University and a Masters of Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. His comprehensive background, strategic acumen, and proven leadership make him a valuable asset in the realm of infrastructure finance.
